Anklyosaurus

Anklyosauruses are a species of dinosaur native to the continent and the Athvrean archipelago. On the archipelago, their distribution is restricted to the upland alluvial plains although lone males are occasionally found in coastal regions.

These creatures are the size of a pig and are covered in osteoderms on their back. Their face features four horns. Their tail ends in a heavy club. Adult specimens have been known to break the legs of inattentive herder. The diet of anklyosauruses is primarily herbaceous vegetation although they will scavenge or consume small animals if available. They are known for their solitary nature and their digging behavior, often destroying fences, flower gardens, and crops.

Many breeds are kept specifically for their meat and eggs. Keeping them is expensive as one must construct an enclosure that they knock down or dig out of and one must wages high enough to convince workers to enter the enclosure. Anklyosaurus is considered a delicacy and is often the main course of wedding feasts. Although not associated with any Athvrean holiday, Anklyosaurus meat is a common sight at festival stalls. Anklyosaurus eggs are much more affordable. A common method of preparation is whipping the egg with goat milk and salt, pan frying the mixture, and dividing the circular dish between the family.

Anklyosauruses are associated with stubborness, stupidity, and putting one's nose where it doesn't belong. To have an anklyosaurus in your field is to have an annoying person who won't leave you alone. Being ankly clubbed refers to being harmed by another's poor decisions. Someone who perserves in the face of adversity is said to keep their head down like an anklyosaurus.
