So the pole showcase is coming up! I will be in a solo pole routine, a group pole routine, and a group chair routine. Pole has really changed my relationship with my body. Before, I never felt attractive. Now? I feel attractive all the time. I can use my body to make people interested in me in a way I couldn't before. I can do beautiful and impressive things in the air. I even started messing around with aerial hoop! We're getting an aerial cube soon too. I love pole so much and I'm so excited to dance for money at the showcase.

I've also been working on a novel called Aralise. It's the story of a betrayed princess who escapes an attempt on her life but has to survive as a disabled peasant under the tutelage of the healer that saved her. The heart of it to me is a girl stripped down till all she has is a mother figure and the woman who finds the child that needs her. I also have a coworker who sincerely thinks we should go back to feudalism, so I researched extensively to reconstruct what life would've been like for a serf woman under feudalism. Fantasy as a genre also doesn't really have a lot of tropes that work with physical disability, so I wanted to try and make the two work together. It's super important to me and this work is the best I've ever written for sure.

I also went and saw Zootopia 2 yesterday and it was amazing! It was way better than the original and worth seeing in theaters. We were laughing the entire way through and I really liked the message at the heart of it. I'm sorta in this weird phase with the furry part of myself where I want to be more open with it. I got invited to go to a furry convention by someone who is pretty lonely and I'd really like to go. I'd commit if my health stuff didn't put money and paid time off up in the air.

Also, I'm applying to graduate soon. Hell yeah!
