Hi everyone! Long time no see! I've been going to work and doing grad school and preparing for moving and bottom surgery and its got me struggling to survive. I'm doing ok though! I've got a 4.0 in grad school and my thesis proposal has been accepted. I've gotten two scholarships and have applied for another to cover my project. I'm also going to Montreal for a conference next year. Theres a few other things I'm working on right now, I might go to Athens, Georgia for some petroleum conference or I might work on a space project. There is a drone going to Titan and I'm going to apply to work on it. As for work, our grants are a bit of a mess. We had a big discovery that sorta made everything we've been doing not really the right direction and we're in the middle of a realignment. It's not fun, but being a scientist means being wrong more often than being right. As for moving. I can't stand living with my inlaws much longer but I'm going to push that back as much as I can just to save up more money for surgery. I'm going through private practice because otherwise the wait for surgery is three years. Two doctors visits was $700. I have the money but damn it hurts.
Now, on to the fun stuff! I've gotten back into creative writing! I've submitted a story about bats and ghosts, a story about scarecrows, and one about a woman becoming an octopus monster to The Dark Door. Its ran by Ill Advised Records which is a dope as hell record label ran by a single guy named Dated. I love his stuff. I'm also working on an inform7 interactive fiction game that will be on this website, Don't expect it any time soon, but it is in development. I'm also working on a dark carnival story that I'm not certain where it'll go just yet. I've got an evil vending machine story I'm hoping to get published too! I really wish I could have been a horror novelist instead of a scientist.
P. S. my friend Skelly made this art for me!
