I'm accepting that I'm also autistic. I'm accepting I'm burnt out from both autism and ADHD. I've withdrawn a lot socially. I'm still going to UU every week and seeing my friends, but I've stopped doing all my extra social events. I took two weeks off dance class as well. I was working on a lot of stuff, pixel art, a Civilization 5 mod, and papers at work, and I've lost the will to do all of that. I've even been slipping on reading. The only thing I've been keeping up on is Aralise because writing is my safe place. I daydream about her life whenever I lie down and that helps me relax enough to fall asleep.
I'm realizing I need to invest more in self care, so I'm showering and doing my physical therapy, but it's still hard. Being compassionate to myself isn't very natural. I guess the whole spiky strengths profile is real because I graduated with a 4.0 in my masters and struggle to do my dishes. I will be receiving a forced break here with surgery but is it really healthy if I need to be sliced open in order to relax?
