First Caving Festival

So, I went to a caving festival this weekend and it was amazing. I met so many excellent people and now I'm super into the caving community. I did two caving trips, one was a series of loops through interlacing canyons such that you passed through the same height without going through the same area twice. There was a stepover 35 feet or so above the bottom that was great. The cave was amazing and was the most physically demanding trip offered. The other trip was two entrances to different parts of the same cave system. This cave system had a stream that you can get into but we couldn't as the water was too dangerous.

I also did some hikes, met so many new friends, had some beer, and camped. Camping was an emotional and spiritual healing experience. There was no cell service the entire time and it was great! I also got through a ton of The Shining. My writing coach is talking to me about it, I'm learning a ton from it, and my girlfriend says my writing has already improved. Its been difficult to keep at it, but I'm doing my writing practice every single day. I have a little dream to be like a horror writer.
