Post Vacation

The rest of the polycule came up this week. We did an escape room, went to Waverly Hills Sanatorium, and generally explored the city. We also went to the local sake brewery and tried a few different Thai places around the city. It was fun but it really tired me out. It made me realize some truths about my relationships for better and worse. We're going to make some decisions on roommates here soon.

Some of the gifts I got were Junji Ito's Tomie and Shiver. It's gotten me excited about horror again! I've almost finished Shiver and I booted up World of Horror last night. World of Horror is a roguelike game based around Junji Ito and H. P. Lovecraft where you run around a japanese town to solve mysteries and prevent the summoning of an Old One. I also got The Evil Within 2, which reminds me of dying light.

Honestly, I'm really tired and down right now after the vacation and realizing that I have to go hard the rest of the semester. I've got a caving festival and such going on but I've got several papers I'm supposed to be writing. Grad school is like being in the ocean and right now my head is below water. I need to swim--hard--and get myself to the surface.
