I went to this amazing cave yesterday with over 20 miles of passage. We saw rooms with ceilings well over 100 feet tall, giant lakes with transparent crayfish, and passages of flowstone. There were stalactites several bodylengths high and piles of rock that were tens of feet tall. There were bats, tiny beetles, and a myriad of passages. We found crinoid fossils the size of thumbs in some rocks and someone even tasted gypsum! I love caving so much and I'm now registered to go to some caving events later this week.
Other than some caving gear, I got some hello kitty crocs and a ukulele. The ukulele is a carbon fiber ukulele so I can take it camping. I've been having some wrist issues too, so I'm hoping that it'll also not aggravate the issue. I've been listening to lots of Melanie Martinez and am trying to learn some of her songs while I pick up the basics. I've played guitar and bass for a while, so its moreso learning the specifics of the instrument than the music theory. All the caving events have campgrounds and I wanna be the uke girl in my hello kitty crocs causing problems.
Grad school and work are going, I got a thumbs up for my committee meeting next week and a great performance review from my boss. I also found out I'm about to get an $1100 medical bill. That sucks but I'll figure it out. I've not been able to game much, but may start playing on my Switch today. My polycule has started the Anime another, so look out for a review on that soon!
