I'm set to defend in less than 90 days! I'm slowly working through all of the figures in my thesis and should have a 'final' copy to my committee by February 11th. I'll be recovering from surgery during that time, but I'm confident. Getting this degree is a massive step towards adopting my kid. I want to be the best mother I can be and this is getting me the financial stability I need.
Aralise is coming along. I've reworked the intro and fever chapter and have broken 40,000 words. I'm adding in more lore and worldbuilding and am still on track to hit the 50k mark around the midpoint crisis. I'm really writing this as a story for foster kids. I've also got a ton of nonfiction submitted to magazines and am hoping some money comes through. I've also got an AO3 account and am publishing stuff there. It's like a candyland there. Everyone is so nice.
I'm having gender affirming surgery in less than two weeks and my chest will be even bigger. Pole will stop for several weeks and the clinical trials will be over. That break is very needed, especially not having to spend the money on gas and such. I hope I get to work on creative writing in that timeframe as well.
