What is the Babyworm Corps

The Babyworm Corps is merely people who find that babywormcore is the aesthetic or lifestyle for them and decide to integrate it into their lives. Individuals who do so are referred to as Squirm Scouts and I refer to myself (jokingly) as Commandant of the Babyworm Corps. Strict order and hierarchy isn't very whimsical or welcoming, so there's no real meaning to the title. If you're serious about looking the part, you can pick up a wormy beret but it's not necessary. We also have a button and a blinkie!

Squirm Scout Merit Badges

Squirm Scout Merit Badges are tangible ways to participate in the Babyworm Corps. The badges themselves are inspired by Paper Mario badges and Pokemon gym badges while the exact requirements tie back to either the aesthetics or the philosophy of babywormcore. These are on the honor system but if you find meaningless symbols on a screen activate your neurons like me, then feel free to pursue our merit badges. Once you feel you've done your part, feel free to add these to your website, put them on your denim jacket with fabric paint, or draw them on a poster with crayons and colored pencils.

• Whimsy Warrior Badge:

Earned by creating and sharing a piece of art that perfectly captures the Babywormcore aesthetic. This covers visual arts as well as videos, video games, and animations.

• Green Guardian Badge:

Earned by those who actively participate in environmental conservation efforts or create a personal garden that aligns with the Babywormcore philosophy.

• Insect Ambassador Badge:

Earned by members who educate others about the importance of insects to our ecosystem or who contribute to insect conservation. This could be the form of a blogpost, a pamphlet, or a presentation.

• Color Connoisseur Badge:

Earned by individuals who masterfully incorporate the Babywormcore color palette into their daily attire or living space.

• Wonder Weaver Badge:

Earned for storytelling or creative writing that embodies the spirit of Babywormcore, sharing tales of whimsy and wonder.

• Playful Pathfinder Badge:

Earned by those who host or participate in Babywormcore-themed events, leading others in the exploration of joy and creativity.

• Mystical Melodist Badge:

Earned by composing or performing music that resonates with the Babywormcore's unique sound.

• Crafty Creator Badge:

Earned for DIY projects or crafts that use sustainable materials and showcase the Babywormcore style.

• Anime Adept Badge:

Earned by those who contribute anime-inspired art or cosplays to the community, enhancing the aesthetic with their creativity.

• Eco-Enthusiast Badge:

Earned by members who adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle, promoting sustainability within the Babyworm Corps. This badge focuses on personal changes versus the Green Guardian badge, which focuses on actions with broader impacts.

• Nursery Nurturer Badge:

Earned by those who volunteer and participate in efforts to better the lives of people in their community while nurturing wonder in the next generation.

• Joyous Journeys Badge:

Earned for organizing or participating in outdoor adventures that celebrate the magic of the natural world. Look for your local nature preserve or state park as they often hold ranger-led adventures.

• Fabulous DeFAANGer Badge:

Earned for taking steps to remove Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, and Google from one's online experience.

Joining the Babyworm Corps

There is no real structure to the corps and membership is self identifying. All you really need to do is vibe with the tenets and you're in. There is a membership card that is sized for business cards if you want to print and sign one!
